<br /> <br />REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION <br />Date: 3/17/2025 <br />Item No.: 7.c. <br />Department Approval City Manager Approval <br /> <br /> <br />Item Description: Approve Proposals Agreement for Architectural Services <br />1 <br />2 Background <br />3 At the February 10, 2025 City Council meeting, Council discussed and approved a Request <br />4 for Proposal (RFP) for a Civic Campus Master Plan Update – License/Passport Center & <br />5 Dance Studio (LPCDS) Options (Attachment 1). The overall goal of this study is to provide <br />6 updated cost estimates and options for Council, to determine if there is a less costly option <br />7 for the LPCDS than the current plan identified in the Civic Campus Pre-Design Study <br />8(CCPDS). <br />9 <br />10 Major tasks in the RFP include the following: <br />11 Phase 1 <br />12 o Provide an updated cost estimate for the proposed LPCDS which is proposed <br />13 in the CCPDS. <br />14 o Provide an updated cost estimate for the Maintenance Operations Center <br />15(MOC) as proposed in the CCPDS. <br />16 o Provide a cost estimate for a single story LPCDS instead of the two-story <br />17 plan. <br />18 o Provide feasibility options to reuse portions of the existing Maintenance <br />19 Facility for LPCDS use. <br />20 Provide layouts and cost estimates. The report should include pros and <br />21 cons of this option compared to the CCPDS option. The report should <br />22 also provide information on how this option would affect the overall <br />23 phasing of the overall project. <br />24 o Provide feasibility options to reuse portions of the existing Maintenance <br />25 Facility for other uses such as office space, restaurant, or event venue use. <br />26 Provide layouts and cost estimates. The report should include pros and <br />27 cons of this option compared to the CCPDS option. The report should <br />28 also provide information on how this option would affect the overall <br />29 phasing of the overall project. <br />30 o Provide report and presentation to Council. <br />31 Phase 2 – Only if authorized after Phase 1, if needed <br />32 o Provide two alternative options for LPCDS to be located on City Campus that <br />33 would result in a cost savings for the City. <br />Page 1 of 4 <br />Qbhf!36!pg!596 <br /> <br />
