Attachment 1 <br />2025- 2026 City Manager Goals <br />Listed below are the City Manager’s 2025-26 goa <br />ls identified by the City Manager and the City <br />Council sub-committee as part of the City Manager’s performance review. Under each goal is a <br />purpose statement on what the goal will do, and milestones towards reaching each goal. I would <br />suggest that there is 6-month check-in about these goals between the City Manager and the City <br />Council sub-committee to review progress of reaching these goals. <br />Implement City Strategic Plan <br />Goal: Complete and implement the adopted strategic plan. <br />Background: In the fall of 2024, City Council and Department Heads convened to create a City <br />Strategic Plan. At the beginning of 2025, City Council and Department Heads met and agreed to <br />a Vision, Mission Statement, Values, and Strategic Directions that form the basis of the plan. <br />Since that time, Department Heads have been meeting to discuss Goals, Success Indicators , <br />Objectives, Metrics, and Measurements that will inform Department Work Plans. This work is <br />wrapping up as these goals are drafted. <br />Important Milestones: <br />ne 2025 <br />April -May-Ju <br />Present result of Department Head work on details of City Strategic Plan to City Council <br />(April 2024) <br />Individual Departments create work plan tied to the City Strategic Plan (May and June) <br />July - August –September 2025 <br />City Council provided Department Work Plans (July) <br />Staff begins tracking data on work to implement the Strategic Plan (July – September) <br />October - November–December 2025 <br />Staff provides quarterly update on progress on implementing Strategic Plan (October) <br />January - February – March 2026 <br />Staff provides quarterly update on progress on implementing Strategic Plan (January) <br />In the Summer of 2026, City Council and Department Heads should hold an annual <br />meeting/retreat to review progress of Strategic Plan to-date and make any modifications.
