EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING <br />OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br />* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * <br />1 Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City <br />th <br />2 of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was duly held on the 19 day of May, 2025, <br />3 at 6:00 p.m. <br />4 <br />5 The following members were present: and the following members were <br />6 absent: . <br />7 <br />8 Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />9 <br />10 RESOLUTION No. <br />11 <br />12 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING APPLICATION FOR MNDOT LOCAL <br />13 PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM (LPP) GRANT FOR SNELLING AVENUE <br />14 PATHWAY. <br />15 <br />16 WHEREAS, the proposed Snelling Avenue Pathway (the “Public Infrastructure”), to be <br />17 located on the west side of Snelling Avenue (Highway 51) from Asbury Street to Glenhill <br />18 Road in the City of Roseville and extending into Arden Hills is on the Roseville Pathway <br />19 Master Plan and the Metropolitan Council Regional Bike Transportation Network (RBTN); <br />20 and <br />21 WHEREAS, MnDOT plans to construct pathways to the north and south of this segment <br />22 with the 2026 resurfacing of Snelling Avenue; and <br />23 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Rosevillebelieves a continuous pathway from <br />24 Lydia Avenue to Old Snelling would provide a direct and coherent multimodal connection <br />25 from Roseville, Oasis Park, and Northwestern University to Mounds View High School, <br />26 Valentine Hills Elementary School, Bethel College, Lake Johanna Park and County <br />27 Road E2 commercial businesses; and <br />28 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Rosevillehas identified Minnesota Department <br />29 of Transportation (MnDOT) LPP Grant funds as a potential source of grant funding to <br />30 finance a portion of the costs of the Public Infrastructure. <br />31 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Roseville, <br />32 Minnesota, that the City shall proceed with a grant application for MnDOT LPP funding <br />33 to finance a portion of the costs of the proposed Public Infrastructure. City staff is hereby <br />34 authorized to proceed with grant application activities on behalf of the City, subject to <br />35 approval of any grant agreement by the Council if such grant is received. <br />Qbhf!221!pg!226 <br /> <br />
