36 Ramsey County is Minnesota's second-most populous county, with a population exceeding <br />37 550,000 residents. It has a diverse economy, dense urban development, and a variety of <br />38 natural features, including lakes, rivers, and parks. The county faces climate change risks, <br />39 with increasing temperatures, heavier precipitation, and more frequent extreme weather <br />40 events.This plan is aimed at addressing the needs and safety of all Ramsey County <br />41 residents, visitors, and business owners. <br />42 <br />43 This HMP has some degree of involvement in all of our strategic planning initiatives, from <br />44 infrastructure, to safety, to supporting business. Significant emergencies have no agenda <br />45 and can negatively impact any and all areas of our community. The adoption of this plan <br />46 allows us to increase awareness and preparedness for emergencies.
