Attachment 1
Ramsey County; mental and chemical health counseling; youth diversion, mentorship, and
leadership development; the NorthStar Youth Outreach Center; support groups, a closing closet,
financial assistance through our Freedom Fund, and more.
Over the last year, as we looked at ways to preserve our legal advocacy services to
victim/survivors in Ramsey County, my team and I met with 11 of the 15 suburban city
governments (most more than once), and we are thankful for the financial support we have
received from the following cities:
Falcon Heights- $5,000 for both 2023 and 2024
Mounds View--$25,500 for both 2023 and 2024
Vadnais Heights--$14,000 for 2024

For each of the above cities, Tubman entered into a yearly Professional Services Agreement to
provide a number of specific advocacy services to victim/survivors of relationship violence
within their city. I would be happy to provide additional details on these contracts as requested.

In addition, Ramsey County Attorney Choi committed $40,000 to Tubman’s Legal Advocacy
program in 2024 in a one-time award from the county’s civil forfeiture funds. He also
recommended having further conversations with the County Board and city governments to
discuss sustainable options moving forward. As directed, I have had several additional
conversations with suburban city officials in the last several months and would really appreciate
the opportunity to meet with your Council as well.

I hope all of this information is helpful. Please let me know if you have any additional
questions, and I look forward to meeting to talk further.

With gratitude,
Jennifer

Jennifer Dickinson (she/her/hers)
Director of Legal Services

direct: 651-789-6720 jdickinson@tubman.org
crisis: 612-825-0000 www.tubman.org
Qbhf!22!pg!286
