Trout Brook Interceptor (TBI) Detailed Modeling Project identified <br />potential flood mitigation opportunities at Roseville Lutheran Church and <br />at Falcon Heights United Church. Design and estimates are being <br />developed for further discussion. <br />Engineering Updates: <br />• Staff submitted a grant application for Met Council's new Equity -Focused Water <br />Efficiency Grant Pilot Program. <br />• All of Roseville's $53,000 for the Private Sewer I&I Grant have been encumbered by <br />successful residential applicants, with several already on awaitlist. <br />• May 18-24, 2025 is National Public Work's Week <br />Sustainability Updates: <br />• Green To Go ordinance implementation continues. We are also meeting quarterly with <br />other metro cities with packaging ordinances to discuss challenges, updates, and <br />regulatory changes, including the upcoming state law that will require all compostable <br />packaging to be BPI certified and labeled starting January 2026. <br />• Roseville is hosting a native plant sale this year in partnership with MNL. Plant and seed <br />mix sales are open now through May 15, with pickup on May 31 at the maintenance <br />garage. <br />Roseville staff will attend the new Ramsey County Environmental Center Open House on <br />Thursday, April 24. Staff will be promoting our Green To Go ordinance and giving away <br />kitchen countertop food scraps bins. <br />Roseville staff will be participating in Anpetu Teca's first sustainability sale, promoting <br />recycling and reuse as well as our native plant sale, on Saturday April 26. <br />Roseville was awarded a Local Climate Action Planning grant from the MPCA in the <br />amount of $49,975. Staff gathered multiple proposals from consultants to assist with our <br />climate action planning process and plans to retain a consultant starting in late May to <br />begin work on the plan. <br />Maintenance Updates: <br />• Road Restrictions lifted April 16, 2025 <br />• Street and Storm <br />o Leaf site gates open for residential leaves only <br />o Transitioning maintenance equipment from winter to summer operations. <br />0 0 compost turning complete April 10, 2025 <br />o Asphalt patching began April 16, 2025. <br />o Spring street sweeping completed. <br />o Citywide turf damage repair completed from winter operations. <br />o Ongoing storm sewer maintenance, sign work, and assisting with water main <br />repairs. <br />• Water and Sanitary Sewer <br />o Continued inspections for water service line inventory. <br />o Five watermain breaks occurred in the month of March. <br />o Walsh Lift station variable frequency drive (VFD) installation is complete. <br />PWET Communications Memo Page 3 <br />Page 12 of 57 <br />
