Roseville Public Works, Environment and Transportation Commission <br />Agenda Item <br />DATE: April 22, 2025 ITEM: 6.a. <br />ITEM DESCRIPTION: Deferred Assessment Policy Update <br />Background <br />Minnesota State Statute § 435.193 allows for deferral of special assessments if the City adopts an ordinance <br />or resolution establishing standards and guidelines for determining the existence of a hardship and for <br />determining the existence of a disability. Roseville adopted such an ordinance most recently in 1981. In <br />2008, the State added military personnel as eligible for the deferrals.
