FYiMTOEM 51 Extract of Minutes of Meeting of City Council City of Roseville Ramsey County, Minnesota Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Roseville, Minnesota, was duly held at the City Hall in said City on Monday, the 27th day of July , 1981, at 7:30 o'clock p.m. The following members were present: Mayor Demos, Councilmen Curley, Kehr, Johnson and Franke and the following were absent: Councilman Cu and moved its adoption: None introduced the following resolution Resolution No. 7216 RESOLUTION RELATING TO DEFERRAL OF SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS FOR SENIOR CITIZENS WHEREAS, Minn. Stat. 435.193 authorizes municipalities to provide for the deferral of special assessments for senior citizens 65 years of age or older if the payment of those special assessments would create a hardship for the senior citizen property owner; and WHEREAS, Minn. Stat. 435.193, as amended, authorizes munici- palities to provide for the deferral of special assessments for persons retired by virtue of a permanent and total disability if the payment of those special assessments would create a hardship for the retired and disabled property owner; and WHEREAS, the City Council believes that it is the best interest of all of the citizens of the City of Roseville to estab- lish a procedure for the deferral of special assessments for senior citizens and certain retired disabled persons where a hard- ship exists. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Roseville, Minnesota, as follows: 1. Establishment of Deferral: Pursuant to Minn. Stat. 435.193 et seq., special assessment installment payments payable by senior citizens and persons retired by virtue of permanent and total disability are deferred if payment of such installments would create a hardship.
