• The Water Efficiency Rebate Program applications have been updated to reflect the <br />equity rebate up to $600water bill credit for toilet replacement for residents meeting <br />the equity criteria. <br />• Similarly, the private sewer grant still has funds available f or those meeting the <br />equity criteria. <br />Environmental & Sustainability Updates: <br />• Interns Ness Carda (sustainability) and Chloe Johnson (environmental) are <br />onboarded and working on projects! <br />• Green To Go ordinance implementation continues: staff was invited to discuss our <br />Green To Go work at the Falcon Heights environmental commission meeting on <br />Monday, July 14. Approximately 45% of businesses visited to date are either in <br />compliance or actively making changes to be compliant. <br />• Staff is planning a packaging and resource fair for businesses affected by Green To <br />Go on Monday, July28. Vendors attending include BizRecycling, Waste <br />Management, M PCA, and other packaging and resource vendors. The City of Saint <br />Paulwill also be attending and advertisingto their businesses to discuss their Green <br />To Go ordinance work. <br />• Staff hosted an educational bee and pollinator eventwith the Minnesota Bee Squad <br />on Wednesday, July 16. <br />• Roseville is partneringwith Xcel Energy, CEE, and Partners in Energy to host an <br />Energy Breakfast at the upcoming Roseville Business Council meeting on <br />Wednesday, July23. This eventwill provide small businesses with examples and <br />information for how to complete energy efficiency projects to reduce their utility <br />bills. <br />• Staff is currently gathering information from residents interested in participating in a <br />climate justice advisory group to provide insight into the upcoming climate equity <br />action planning process. The interest form link is here: <br />https://forms.gle/VsCim8fKBFru7Z5w7 <br />• Duringthe cart rollout process, we ran out of 96 gallon carts for distribution. Another <br />order of these larger carts was ordered and have been delivered to the City. <br />Currently, Roseville staff are slowly rolling out these carts as time allows. These <br />carts are being delivered to residents that requested them and will also be rolled out <br />to all of our parks and municipal buildings thatwere skipped in our original rollout. <br />• Waste Management (WM) officially started their recycling collection in Roseville on <br />July 1. Staff are workingwith WM to address several issues that include <br />walkup/valet service not being completed, sporadic and missed collections at <br />multi -unit buildings, residential curbside misses, call center not providing accurate <br />information, etc. Staff are hopeful these issues will be resolved in the next couple of <br />weeks. <br />PWET Communications Memo Page 3 <br />Page 5 of 27 <br />
