Cost Estimating (10 POINTS)
The Construction Manager will be responsible for ensuring that the design team and Owner are
kept up to date on the costs for the current design of the various phases of the project and
assist in making recommendations to the design to meet or beat the required budget. This
includes value engineering and life cycle cost analysis throughout the design and construction
phases of the project. The Construction Manager will be responsible for cost estimating and
competitively bidding all portions of the work. Up-to-date, accurate project cost estimates and
cost estimates for selected portions of the work must be provided by the Construction Manager
during all phases, including estimates as needed during execution of the work.
