Attachment 2
2026 Capital Improvement Plan
Project/Initiative Summary
Department/Division: Skating Center
Project/Initiative Title: Arena Dasher Boards
Total Estimated Cost: $290,000
Funding Source: CIP
Annual Operating Budget Impact: $5,000+

Project/Initiative Description:
The current dasher board system was installed in 2008 and has begun to show signs of wear and tear
including soft spots, uneven seems, and cracking and separating. These conditions can lead to potential
injuries, glass breakage, and undesirable playing conditions.
The current boards/glass system is a seamless glass system, which has been phased out of hockey rinks
due to safety issues. The new system will be plexi - which is safer for players and has greater longevity.
The work would be conducted in coordination with our planned shutdown, which typically occurs every
4 to 5 years to ensure the health and condition of the system below the ice sheet.
Asset Location:
Roseville Skating Center
Current Asset Installation Year:
2026
Expected Lifespan for Asset:
15-20 years

Page 40
Qbhf!231!pg!472
