Attachment 2
2026 Capital Improvement Plan
Project/Initiative Summary
Department/Division: Skating Center
Project/Initiative Title: OVAL Divider Pad System
Total Estimated Cost: $30,000
Funding Source: CIP
Annual Operating Budget Impact: $1,000
Project/Initiative Description:
The Current Divider pads for the OVAL, which are used to separate the 4 Skating/Hockey Rinks on the
infield of the OVAL are at the end of useful life. The pads have become torn, sun bleached, and are
losing the foam from the inside. It is costly to repair the pads and as years pass, we have increasingly
more that need attention annually.
These pads are critical to the functionality of the events we hold at the OVA, both operationally and for
safety. The aesthetics as well as the function of safety are at a point where replacement is necessary to
the operation.
Asset Location: OVAL
Current Asset Installation Year: 2010
Expected Lifespan for Asset: 10-12 years
Asset Location: OVAL

Page 44
Qbhf!235!pg!472
