Variance/Process <br />See 404.4 -Exemptions and 404.5 -Noise variances <br />Upon application for a waiver and notification to all properties within 500 feet from the property line at least ten days prior to the City Council meeting, the City Council may <br />grant permit waiving the requirements of this Section for maintenance activities and may impose reasonable conditions to it; Emergency construction activities <br />which are necessary to protect the public health, safety, and welfare, are exempt from the requirements of Section 630.10, provided that parties shall notify the City Public <br />Works Director as soon as reasonablypossible regarding the existence of the emergency condition and the projected time necessary to abate the emergency. <br />Noise impact statements. The Council may require any person applying fora change in zoning classification or permit or license for any structure, operation, process, <br />installation or alteration or project that maybe considered a potential noise source to submit a noise impacts tatement on a form prescribed by the Council. It shall evaluate <br />each such statement and take its evaluation into account in approving or disapproving the license or permit applied for or the zoning change requested. <br />A copy of this division shall be attached to each construction permit issued by the city.
