I strongly believe in accessible, multimodal <br />transportation and appreciate that this commission <br />addresses the connections between public works, <br />environmental stewardship, and how people move through <br />and experience our community. Transit and ourroadways <br />are critical to connecting people to the essentials of daily <br />life—schools, homes, jobs, food, medical care, and more— <br />and thoughtful planning in these areas has a direct impact <br />on equity and quality of life. <br />I bring over 25 years of experience as a communications <br />professional and a deep belief that information is power— <br />and that access is power. I value making information <br />accessible so that people can make the best decisions for <br />themselves. My background spans small business, for- <br />profit, nonprofit, and government communications, including <br />13 years in government and five years supporting <br />community planning and economic development at the City <br />of Minneapolis, which encompassed development review <br />and long-range planning communications support.
