What are the desired outcomes and impacts in the community?
The overall goal of the ordinance change is to allow other public agencies the ability to get noise
exemptions for small public projects where there is an overall public benefit to do the night work.
The ability to get an exemption instead of a noise variance process, can save the public agency
time and money as well as save the public on overall project impacts.
Who will benefit from or be burdened by this decision?
The public agencies benefit by being able to get noise exemptions quicker since construction
projects are very dynamic.
