2026Capital Improvement Plan
Project/Initiative Summary
Department/Division:Parks
Project/Initiative Title: Autumn Grove Playground
Total Estimated Cost: $225,000
Funding Source: Park Improvement Fund
Annual Operating Budget Impact:
Project/Initiative Description:
Playgrounds installed prior to the Parks and Recreation Renewal Program Replacements in 2012 had an
industry standard expected useful life of 15 years, depending on use. Playgrounds installed after the 2012
Renewal Program have an expected useful life of 20 years.
Autumn Grove Park is one of Roseville’s most used playsets due to its position in a relatively dense
neighborhood, and the prevalence of recreational programming in the park. The current playground is
significantly faded and worn due to many years of wear and tear, and replacement pats are no longer
available.

This is also is one of the few playgrounds in Roseville that is not up to our current concrete curb standards.

The 2010 concept plan called for consideration of moving the playground to adjacent to the building. Staff
will meet with the neighborhood to discuss this, and other comments about the park, prior to installation.

All playgrounds are inspected three times per year for safety and a commission rating.

Asset Location:
Autumn Grove Park
1365 Lydia Ave W
Current Asset Installation Year:
2006
Expected Lifespan for Asset:
20 Years
Qbhf!233!pg!263
