2026Capital Improvement Plan <br /> Project/Initiative Summary <br />Department/Division:Parks <br />Project/Initiative Title: Sandcastle Playground <br />Total Estimated Cost: $200,000 <br />Funding Source: Park Improvement Fund 411 <br />Annual Operating Budget Impact: <br />Project/Initiative Description: <br />Playgrounds installed prior to the Parks and Recreation Renewal Program Replacements in 2012 had an <br />industry standard expected useful life of 13 years, depending on use. Playgrounds installed after the 2012 <br />Renewal Program have an expected useful life of 20 years. <br />The Sandcastle Playground was installed in 2006 and has a low condition rating. It is ready for replacement <br />based on both age (20 years) and condition.
