<br />=2= <br /> <br />Mayor McGee made the following proclamation regarding <br />"World Trade Week", May 20=26. 19620 <br /> <br />"As Mayor of Rosevi 11e, I hereby officially proclaim ~lay 20 to <br />26, 1962, World Trade Week in Rosevilleo <br /> <br />Developments in recent years such as the growth of the <br />European common market, the growing pressures on our United <br />States balance of payments position, the need to accelerate <br />our own economic growth and the Communist aid and trade offensive <br />have made it necessary for the leaders of our country, as well as <br />every citizen to take a new look at our traditional trade policies, <br /> <br />I urge you, as citizens, to alert yourselves to the role of our <br />state and community in the world trade pictureo <br /> <br />The League of Women Voters has worked for more liberal trade <br />policies, I am told, since the 1930lso On hehalf of the Council, I <br />accept these copies of their publication, "Politics of Trade", which <br />we wi 11 read with interesto" <br /> <br />Reinecke Moved, Kustermann Seconded, that the request for variance of <br />Rolland and Myrtle Hatfield, 1439 Roselawn Avenue, for a two foot side= <br />yard setback be approved due to the fact that to force these residents <br />build their garage within the present set=back limits of the ordin= <br />"...lee based upon the width of their lot would be an extreme hardship on <br />them. Roll Call, Ayes (5) = Nays (0)0 <br /> <br />Flanagan Moved, Reinecke Seconded, that the Bartusch request for <br />variance to the ordinance for five foot sideyard setback be approved <br />since the home was built prior to the present ordinance and to require <br />a 10 foot setback would cause undue hardship, Roll Call, Ayes (5) = <br />Nays (0)0 <br /> <br />Flanagan Moved, Goodrich Seconded. that Laurence Lo Baker be granted <br />a sideyard setback variance of four feet on the Terrace Drive side of <br />his home at 2820 I-Ierrill since to require him to conform to the zoning <br />code for a 30 foot setback would cause undue hardship since the property <br />was platted prior to the established zoning ordinance; but also, that the <br />driveway should come off of Merrill Street and not off of Terrace Driveo <br />Roll Call, Ayes (5) = Nays (0) 0 <br /> <br />Reinecke Moved, Kustermann Seconded, that the request for variance <br />of George ~1cCulloch for a sideyard setback o.f six feet at 2557 Whee ler <br />Avenue be approved since to deny the request would work a hardship due <br />to the fact the homes were built at the time the old ordinance was in <br />effecto Roll Call, Ayes (5) = Nays (0)0 <br /> <br />WORLD TRADE WEEK <br /> <br />HATFIELD VARIANCE <br /> <br />BARTUSCH VARIANCE <br /> <br />BAKER VARIANCE <br /> <br />MCCULLOCH VARIANCE <br />
