October 8,} 1962 <br /> <br />e Village Councll met on the above date wi th the foHo\"in,g mernbers <br />present Mayor McGee~ Trustees Goodrich" Kustermann and Schrcnkcr <br />Trustee Flanagan absente <br /> <br />The ~1ayor announced the meeting was opened for considerabon of a <br />proposecl roacl improvement on Long Lake Road between County Road B 2 <br />and County Road Co <br /> <br />The Clerk produced an affidavit showing publication of the notice <br />appearing on the improvement two weeks in the official newspaper of <br />the Village. the last publication being the 20th day of September!) 19628 <br />which affidav1t \"a5 examined and ordered placed on file The Clerk also <br />produced a certIficate of mailing notices to all property owners of <br />property lyinglvl th in the proposed improvement area" <br /> <br />The proposed road improvement was explained to the indiVIduals present <br />by the Village Engineer The substance of the presentation \vas as fo11O\v5 <br /> <br />~1rc Sautter explaIned that the proposed road improvement consisted <br />of the construction of a 24 inch thick bituminous road surface <br />48 feet in width, The road would be straight except for a slight <br />S curve at the railroad tracks, No additional rIght of way will be <br />required Drainage south of the railroad tracks would be constructed <br />so as to carry water to the south and then across what IS known as <br />the lfurphy property, Drainage north of the railroad tracks would be <br />carried north and Into the drainage system of Interstate HIghway 35 W <br /> <br />The proposed financing of the road improvement was explained by the Vi Uage <br />Clerk The substance of the presentation was as follow$ <br /> <br />~lr Turnlund stated that the overall improvement CO?!: was estimated <br />at $137.246 02e.
