<br />~2c <br /> <br />The Mayor then called upon all property owners and interested individuals <br />present to express themselves either for or against said proposed improve- <br />lent, <br /> <br />The following appeared in favor of said improvement and the substance <br />of the view presented by them was as follows' <br /> <br />Harry HcNeely, Witte Transportation Companyp stated that he waS very <br />JefInifeIYlrl favor of the proposed improvement., The construction <br />of Interstate llighway 35 W immediately east of the propert.ies concerned <br />will throw three times the present truck traffic onto the roadj making <br />the present 24 foot road unusable <br /> <br />Eugene ~lcDonough~ ~lurphy Transportation Company ~ stat cd that he could <br />not .speal<. rot; tIle Board of Directors 9 but he would recommend to them <br />that they support the improvement 0 The Hurphy Company 1S contemplat <br />ing a multi~milU.on dollar improvement in RosevilIe The Murphy <br />Company is also anxious that County Road B 2 be constructed in connect" <br />ion with Long Lake Road He also asked questions concerninp the <br />limits of the improvement,} the contemplated radius of the turn on <br />County Road B 2 and Long Lake Road, and the financing of the entire <br />improvement from Minnesota State Aid fundsc He also stated that <br />Mr. George Hartp owner of I~rt Motor Express~ had indicated a willing= <br />ness to dedicate the south half of County Road B 2 rightcof"way when <br />County Road B 2 abutts his property, <br /> <br />Donald KrugeoLr,~ Wilson Truck Lines, stated his company would favor the <br />Improvement at the originally estimated assessment of $IL35 per front <br />footg but could not commit them on the increased per front foot basis. <br />He felt he would recommend his company support it even at increased <br />costs, <br /> <br />The following letters were received in favor of said improvement <br /> <br />t2_~~!=~!~~::._~.:E,=--=-~:~~~~~~.c. <br /> <br />This is to advise that due to prior commitments I \lIill be <br />unable to be at the meeting Monday~ October 8th at 8 00 p,m <br />regard:mg the Long Lake improvement ~ as proposed <br /> <br />This IS to advise that I am 100 per cent for this proposal <br />to get this road in shape where it will handle the traffic <br />This certainlYD in my opinion~ is an improvenent which will <br />help the entIre area as certainly the road will have to be <br />completed further than the end of Long Lake Road on the South <br />It will have to be put through to give another access road <br />out through the southwes t <br /> <br />Also!) here is a chance to take advantage of the State Aid <br />Funds which are available at this time,) <br /> <br />Signedll George I1art~ President <br />Hart Motor Express, Inc, <br />
