<br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZATION TO IMPLEMENT <br />PHASE I OF THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT <br />REORGANIZATION <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a meeting of the City <br />Council of the City of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota was <br />duly held on the 27th day of August, 1989 at 7: 30 P.M. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Maschka, Cushman, Thomas, and <br />Rog, and the following were absent: <br />Johnson. <br /> <br />Member Thomas <br />adopted. <br /> <br />moved that the following resolution be <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 8608 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council is considering a multi-phased <br /> <br />reorganization of the Community Development Department; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Howard Dahlgren has retired as the City's <br /> <br />consultant planner; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is now more efficient to conduct day to day <br /> <br />planning activities in house; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, through the use of an in-house planner, the <br /> <br />consultant can be utilized for more critical, long term project <br /> <br />considerations; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in house planning would provide a higher degree of <br /> <br />service and coordination between the City Council and the <br /> <br />Planning Commission; and <br />
