<br />VILLAGE OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />Regular Meeting of the Village Council, April 24, 1967. <br /> <br />7:30 P.M. <br /> <br />The Village Council met on the above date with the following <br />members present: Mayor Cedarholm, Trustees Curley, Grauel and <br />Goodrich. Absent: Trustee Shields. <br /> <br />Grauel Moved, Curley Seconded, that the minutes of the regular <br />meeting of April 17, 1967, be approved. Roll Call, Ayes (4) - <br />Nays (0). <br /> <br />MINUTES <br /> <br />Mayor Cedarholm opened the public hearing on Improvement 67-10. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING <br />IMPROVEMENT <br />67-10 <br /> <br />The Village Manager presented an affidavit showing publication <br />of Notice of Hearing on proposed Storm Drainage Improvement No. <br />67-10 in accordance with the resolution adopted March 20, 1967, <br />which affidavit was examined and found to be satisfactory and was <br />directed to be filed by the Manager. The Village Manager also <br />exhibited a Certificate of Mailing Notice of Hearing to all affected <br />property owners, which certificate was examined and found to be <br />satisfactory and was directed to be filed by the Manager. <br /> <br />The Mayor then directed the Manager to read the description of <br />the general nature and estimated cost of the proposed improvement <br />and the area proposed to be assessed therefor, as stated in the <br />published notice of hearing. After reading of the notice, all <br />persons present were afforded opportunity to be heard, and the <br />names and addresses of the persons appearing and heard by the <br />Council, and the substance of the views presented by them were <br />as follows: <br /> <br />MR. L. A. CHARBONEAU, 2565 Herschel: If the improvement <br />is ordered by the Council, when would construction begin and when <br />would the assessment begin. Also wanted to know the formula for <br />the assessment to be placed on the Dayton property. <br /> <br />MR. RALPH R. DORSCH, 1722 Oakcrest: Wanted to know the number <br />of acres for which Dayton's would be assessed. Questions re <br />benefitted area and future improvements. <br /> <br />MR. MILO NIELSEN, 1799 Rose P lace: Inquired as to the size <br />of the catch basins that would be installed. Some of the present <br />ones are large enough for children to get into and he wanted to <br />know if the new ones would be that size, and if so, would there be <br />some kind of protective covering. <br /> <br />MR. GEORGE LINDGREN, 1728 Oakcrest: In favor of the improve- <br />ment. Immediately behind his house there's a ditch that was dug <br />by a contractor. Wanted to know if there would be a catch basin <br />south of Oakcrest immediately behind his property, or where the <br />Village ditch runs in County Ditch No.4. <br /> <br />MR. JOSEPH RESEMIUS, 1762 Oakcrest: Wanted to know if any <br />future sewers would be drained into the 78 inch proposed pipes and <br />if so, would they be able to handle it. <br />
