<br />VILLAGE OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />Regular Meeting of the Village Counci 1, June 19, 1967. <br /> <br />The Village Council met on the above date \oJith the following <br />members present: Mayor Cedarholm, Trustees Goodrich, Curley, <br />Grauel and Shields. <br /> <br />Curley Moved, Shields Seconded, that the minutes of the meeting <br />of June 12, 1967, be approved. Roll Call, Ayes (5) - Nays (0). <br /> <br />Mayor Cedarllolm reconvened the meeting on Improvements 67-12 <br />and 67-13. <br /> <br />The following persons appeared on the improvement: <br /> <br />1. John P. Henz, 3253 T.H. #8 - asked if the proposed sewer and <br />water lines could not be relocated on Minnesota Highway Depart- <br />ment property. <br /> <br />2. Adam P. Piecek, 2930 Armour Terrace - St. Anthony, stated that <br />he did not favor the improvement in that he thought it would <br />be cheaper for him to obtain water and sewer service from the <br />Village of St. Anthony. <br /> <br />3. Francis Husnik, Vadnais Construction Company, 1853 ~1onn Avenue, <br />White Bear Lake - stated he strongly favored the improvement and <br />felt that Mr. Piecek was in error in his cost calculations on the <br />cost of obtaining the sewer and water service from St. Anthony. <br />Mr. Husnik felt it would be more economical to obtain the service <br />from the Village of Roseville. <br /> <br />The Mayor closed the hearing. <br /> <br />Shields Moved, Curley Seconded, that Resolution No. 1848 ordering <br />Improvements 67-12 and 67-13 be adopted i and that acquisition of the <br />easement for the improvements be commenced. Roll Call, Ayes (5) - <br />Nays (0). <br /> <br />The Mayor opened the public hearing on Improvement 67-15, 67-16 and <br />67-17. <br /> <br />The Manager presented an affidavit of publication of the notices of <br />hearing and certificates of mailing notices to property owners effected. <br /> <br />The Engineer presented a summary of the proposed improvements. He <br />indicated that the cost of the improvement was increased by the <br />necessity for a substantial grading operation to put in this street <br />section. He also indicated an apprehension over the effect on the <br />adjoining properties and the possible necessity for retaining walls <br />or slope easements in order to accommodate the grading plan. <br /> <br />The Village Manager indicated that the improvement would be financed <br />entirely from special assessments.
