<br />VILLAGE OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />Regular Meeting of the Village Council, July 10, 1967. <br /> <br />7: 30 P. ril. <br /> <br />The Village Council met on the above date with the following <br />members present: Hayor Cedarholm, Trustees Grauel, Shields and <br />Curley. Absent: Trustee Goodrich. <br /> <br />Curley Moved, Grauel Seconded, that the minutes of the meeting of <br />June 26, 1967, be approved. Roll Call, Ayes (4) - Nays (0). <br /> <br />MINUTES <br /> <br />Mayor Cedarholm opened the hearing on Storm Sewer Improvement 66-30. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING <br />UIPROVEP1ENT <br />66-30 <br /> <br />The Vi llage ~1anager presented an affidavit showing pub lication <br />of notice of hearing on proposed Improvement 66-30 in accordance <br />with the resolution adopted June 12, 1967, which affidavit was <br />examined and found to be satisfactory and was directed to be filed <br />by the Village Manager. The Village ~1anager also exhibited a <br />Certificate of Mailing Notice of Hearing to all affected property <br />owners, which certificate was examined and found to be satisfactory <br />and was directed to be filed by the Manager. <br /> <br />The Mayor then directed the Hanager to read the description of the <br />general nature and estimated cost of the proposed improvement and <br />the area proposed to be assessed therefor, as stated in the published <br />notice of hearing. After reading of the notice, all persons present <br />were afforded an opportunity to be heard: <br /> <br />MR. N. H. KORPI, Rose Hill Alliance Church - favored the improvement. <br />REVEREND M. L. HALL, Rose Hill Alliance Church - Explained need for church property. <br />favored the improvement. <br />JOHN HEALY, 2079 Dudley Avenue, St. Paul - favors improvement. <br />DARRELL LOVERIDGE, 1909 Mal vern St., Lauderdale - asked if Tatum area could <br />also be drained. Favored the improvement. <br />NORMAN J. TOLSTAD, 2165 Roselawn - Favored the improvement. He drilled <br />holes and found high water level due to pond. Wants land developed. <br />CARL ANDERSON, 2135 Roselawn - favored the improvement. Wants to develop <br />his property. Needs to get water out. <br />WALTER LANE, 2247 Roselawn - Opposed the improvement. Asked about spring <br />fed pond. Wanted to know where pipes would be laid. <br />REVEREND M. L. HALL checked level on pond before ice went out, 3 to 4 feet <br />in depth. <br />N. H. KORPI checked last spring and pond is not a gravel bottom; <br />therefore, cannot be spring fed. <br />GRANT MILEY, 2183 Roselawn - No water in basement. <br />ANDY BOTKO, 2216 Draper - against being assessed not in favor of storm <br />sewer. Would like corner retained as a park. <br />PAUL MAYER, 2269 Roselawn - Against assessment. Believes was originated <br />by Alliance Church who don't pay taxes. <br />MRS. LAIVRENCE HADDAMAK, 1927 Roselawn. Paid for catchbasins. Wants credit <br />for past payment for storm sewers, <br />RAYMOND REICHOW, 2192 Draper. Against assessment. No drainage problem. <br />Believes drainage is adequate. <br />WILLIAM REINERS, 2186 Draper - opposed improvement. Drainage problems are <br />non-existent. Wants pond retained. <br />CLARK KITTLESON, 2055 Loren Road - wants pond retained. <br />TOM REYNOLDS, 1980 North Cleveland. Asked if principal purpose is to drain <br />pond. Ponding area will be double assessed. Wants Village to acquire for park. <br />
