<br />VILLAGE OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />Regular meeting of the Village Council, July 24, 1967. <br /> <br />The Village Council met on the above date with the following <br />members present: ~fayor Cedarholm, Councilmen Grauel, Goodrich, <br />Shields and Curley. <br /> <br />Grauel Moved, Shields Seconded, that the minutes of the regular <br />meeting of July 10, 1967, be approved. Roll Call, Ayes (4) - <br />Nays (0) - Abstentions (1), Councilman Goodrich abstaining. <br /> <br />Mayor Cedarholm opened the public hearing on Improvement 67-20. <br /> <br />The Village Manager presented an affidavit showing publication <br />of notice of hearing on proposed Storm Drainage Improvement 67-20 <br />in accordance with the resolution adopted June 26, 1967, which <br />affidavit was examined and found to be satisfactory and was directed <br />to be filed by the Clerk. The Village Manager also exhibited a <br />Certificate of Mailing Notice of Hearing to all affected property <br />owners, which certificate was examined and found to be satisfactory <br />and was directed to be filed by the Clerk. <br /> <br />The Mayor then directed the Manager to read the description of the <br />general nature and estimated cost of the proposed improvement and <br />the area proposed to be assessed therefor, as stated in the published <br />notice of hearing. After reading of the notice, all persons present <br />were afforded opportunity to be heard, and the names and addresses of <br />the persons appearing and heard by the Council, and the substance of <br />the views presented by them were as follows: <br /> <br />MR. JAMES E. EDLUND, E. D. Edlund and Son Agency, 2049 N. Snelling: <br />In favor of the improvement. <br /> <br />MR. CARL J. AHLGREN, 1721 W. Shryer: In favor of the improvement. <br /> <br />MRo WALLACE Eo RUOSCH, 2087 Fry Street N.: The people in his block <br />are .not troubledby water. Those that had water problems have solved them. <br />Felt it was too much to pay for sanitary sewer. water and storm sewer <br />assessments at one time. He and his neighbors are opposed to the <br />improvement. <br /> <br />MR. WILLIAM C. LAWRENCE, 2030 No Fairview Ave.: In favor of the <br />improvement. Also asked if the ditch on the east side of Fairview <br />would be leveled up to the street. <br /> <br />MR. ALBERT Ro SHIELY, 98 Mid Oaks Lane: He had circulated the petition <br />in Ridgewood Lane and Mid Oaks Lane which initiated the proceedings for <br />the improvement, and said that the people in those two areas were <br />unanimously in favor of the improvement. <br /> <br />MR. JOfm E. RAUSCH, 1681 Ridgewood Lane N.: In favor of the improvement. <br /> <br />MR. HARLAN SMITH, 1706 W. Ryan: Asked what time schedule would be in <br />connection with the improvement. <br /> <br />MR. JAMES E. EDLUND (spoke before): Asked if it would be possible to <br />get concrete curbs and gutters on Skillman Avenue after the sewer work <br />is completed. <br /> <br />7:30 P.M. <br /> <br />MINUTES <br /> <br />PUBLIC <br />HEARING <br />IMPROVEMENT <br />67-20 <br />
