TED DOLAN, 2095 Fry: Asked if the majority of the people <br />ln ~ne lmprovemen~ area would be benefited by the construction <br />or the storm sewer, and also asked if it could be shown that a <br />majority were opposed if the improvement would be stopped. <br /> <br />MR. JOHN SAYLOR, 2071 Midlothian: In favor of the improvement. <br />He asked if the Council would consider extending the sewer line <br />to Eldridge and picking up the drainage that runs off the school <br />playground. <br /> <br />Councilman JAMES SHIELDS, 1794 Ryan: Councilman Shields is a <br />propertyowner in the improvement area. In favor of the improve- <br />mento While he has no water problems himself, he believes it to <br />be his civic responsibility to help take care of the lower areas <br />in the neighborhood. <br /> <br />Communications were also received from the following: <br /> <br />MR. JAMES E. EDLUND, E. D. Edlund and Son Agency, 2049 <br />North Snelling Ave: In favor of the improvement and also <br />requested the Council to install concrete curbs and gutters <br />on Skillman Avenue. <br /> <br />MR. RICHARD MEYERS, 1758 Venus Avenue: Opposed to the proposed <br />improvement because the cost will be assessed against his <br />property and there is no benefit to him. <br /> <br />Mayor Cedarholm closed the hearing. <br /> <br />Shields Moved, Grauel Seconded, that Resolution No. 1866 ordering <br />Improvement 67-20 and preparation of plans be adopted. Roll Call, <br />Ayes (5) - Nays (0)0 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br />NOo 1866 <br /> <br />Shields Moved, Curley Seconded, that the request of Donald Gorman <br />for a sideyard variance at 2921 Galtier Avenue be approved.
