JOSEPH SCHWARTZ, 500 W. County Road B: Asked where the pro- <br />posed improvement would cross his property. Also asked about the <br />proposed open ditch and what would happen if it runs over. Suggested <br />that the village use the vacant property adjacent to his property for <br />the construction of the ditch. <br /> <br />MRS. JOSEPH SCHWARTZ, 500 W. County Road B: Felt that the open <br />ditch wouldn't be practical since the ground is all soft peat and <br />it would wash away. <br /> <br />MR. EDWARD J. BOSSARD, 1738 Skillman: Said the location of the pro- <br />posed ditch has been a public easement sin~e 1954. <br /> <br />MRS. KATHERINE TAYLOR, 527 Ryan Avenue: Indicated that drainage water <br />comes through the ditch on the Schwartz property and then ponds in the <br />B-Dale park. Asked if a ditch would be put through the park. Said <br />the water washes across a 50 foot strip of McCarrons Boulevard at <br />that point. <br /> <br />After a discussion of the viewspresented, the Mayor closed the hearing. <br /> <br />Grauel Moved, Shields Seconded, that Resolution No. 2091 ordering <br />Improvement 68-12 be adopted. Roll Call, Ayes: Shields, Grauel, <br />Linebarger and Moll. <br /> <br />Mayor Moll opened ule public hearing on proposed Improvement P-67-28A. <br /> <br />The Acting Village Manager presented an affidavit showing publi- <br />cation of Notice of Hearing on proposed Improvement No. 67-28A in <br />accordance with the resolution adopted April I, 1968, which affidavit <br />was examined and found to be satisfactory and was directed to be <br />filed by the Manager. The Acting Village Manager also exhibited a <br />Certificate of Mailing Notice of Hearing to all affected property <br />owners, which certificate was examined and found to be satisfactory <br />and was directed to be filed by the Acting Manager. <br /> <br />The Mayor then directed the Acting Manager to read the description <br />of the general nature and estimated cost of the proposed improvement <br />and the area proposed to be assessed therefor, as stated in the <br />published notice of hearing. After reading of the notice, all persons <br />were afforded opportunity to be heard, and the names and addresses of <br />the persons appearing and heard by the Council, and the substance of <br />the views presented by them were as follows: <br /> <br />~~.
