-2-

MR. ALLEN OKERMAN, Okerman Construction Co., 2515 Blaisdell
Avenue, Minneapolis, Minnesota. Owns part of Lot 2 which is dir-
ectly behind the house that faces the service road on Highway 36.
Has the same situation in that he can't build on the lot without
the street. In favor of the improvement.

MR. MILTON NELSON, 2280 West Highway 36: Peels ulat only the
people who will be benefitting from the street should pay the
assessments and that there are so few of these it would make the
cost prohibitive.

MR. FRANK BENSON, 2311 County Road B: He's already constructed
his own street and strongly opposes the improvement.

Acting Mayor Curley indicated tilat written communications had been
received from the following persons in opposition to the improvement:

Jerome J. Thayer, DDS, 2295 West Laurie Road
Mr. & Mrs. J. S. Lind, 2291 West County Road B

MR. J. S. LIND, 2291 West County Road B: Has constructed his own
access road. He doesn't object to the improvements but does object
to paying assessments for something from which he will derive no
benefit.

JEROME J. THAYER, DDS, 2295 West Laurie Road: He's paying assess-
ments for all improvements on Laurie Road and feels the people on
Fulham who wi 11 benefit should construct their own street and pay
for it.

MR. GEORGE SEABERG, 2240 St. Stephen: Asked why the curbs and gutters were
proposed to be concrete. Water from Midland Hills Golf Course drains off
on to other property and he thOU~lt Midland Hills should also be assessed.
In favor of the improvement.

MR. FRANK BENSON, 2311 County Road B (Spoke before): Question re the
location of the centerline of Fulham Street.

~~. MERRILL HOLSTE, 2228 St. Stephens: Subdividing property to build
more homes will mean more children coming to the area which will in-
crease the school taxes. Thinks that a storm sewer project should be
installed over the whole area so the assessments could be apportioned
to all of the benefitted property. Opposed to tile improvement.

~~. MILTON NELSON, 2280 West Highway 36 (Spoke Before): Asked what
village control there was in connection with subdividing lots.

JEROME J. THAYER, DDS, 2295 West Laurie Road (Spoke Before):
Discussed a house that had been moved into the area without village
permission.

MR. MILTON NELSON, 2280 West Highway 36 (Spoke Before): He had not
received a notice in connection with a meeting the Village Planning
Commission had regarding the moving of the house.

. PUBLIC HEARING
IMPROVEMENT
NO. 68-13
