Resolution No, 8632 Page 2 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the city Council of the City of Roseville, Minnesota, as follows: section 1. That the area described as the Redevelopment Area is a redevelopment project within the meaning of Minnesota statutes, Section 469.002, Subd. 14, and an Industrial Development District within the meaning of Minnesota Statutes, Section 469.058 for the purpose of redevelopment and economic development as set forth in Minnesota Statutes, Sections 469.058, 469.001 to 469.047. section 2. That the Redevelopment Plan and the Industrial Development District No. 1 plan and project will carry out the purposes and policies of Minnesota statutes, Sections 469.001 through 469.047 and 469.048 through 469.068. Section 3. That the land in the Redevelopment Area would not be made available for redevelopment without the financial aid to be sought. Section 4. That the Redevelopment Plan and the Industrial Development District No. 1 Plan for the Redevelopment Area will afford maximum opportunity, consistent with sound needs of the City as a whole, for the redevelopment of the such area by private enterprise. Section 5. That it is hereby found and determined that the Redevelopment Plan and the Industrial Development District No. I Plan for the Redevelopment Area set forth in the Redevelopment Plan and the Industrial Development District No. 1 Plan conforms to the general plan for the development of the city as a whole. ---~, Section 6. The City finds that the Industrial Development /bistrict is proper and desirable to establish industrial developments in the City. The Redevelopment Area includes ! marginal property as defined in Minnesota Statutes, Section 469.048, Subdivision 5. section 7. That the city council of the City of Roseville, Minnesota, does hereby approve the Redevelopment Plan and the Industrial Development District No. 1 Plan and establishes the Redevelopment Project Area and Industrial Development District No. 1. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution seconded by Member Maschka, and upon a vote being taken the following voted in favor thereof: Thomas, Johnson, Cushman, and Rog, and the following voted against same: was duly thereon, Maschka, None. Whereupon said resolution was declare¿ duly passed and adopted.
