shifted to the south - any of these things would work
if the Council is so disposed.

COUNCILMAN GRAUEL: We wouldn't know anything until
the final settlement is made with the pipelines and
Northern States Power.

MR. HONCHELL: In talking with some of the Council,
assuming the city Council would be amenable to thinking
favorably on this project, it would probably be recommend-
ed that the hearing be closed and the decision be made
at some future date which should be established so that
we would know exactly where that easement is before you
commit yourselves to the project. This would probably
put it off schedule with the rest of the projects but
it will just have to go in all by itself some time.

MAYOR DEMOS: Mr. Popovich, will you present your
summary.

MR. POPOVICH: The total estimated cost is $131,422.29.
It's recommended that 10~h be assessed. Dividing that up,
the street, curb and gutter is $31.69 a front foot:
sanitary sewer $7.05 a foot: sewer services $311.76:
watermain $10.91 per foot and water se~vice from the
line to the lot line $313.78. Add that, multiply by
the frontage to get your total bill. We recorr~end 20
years because we haven't been going longer and I see
no reason to extend that period of time. We would have
a carrying charge of 8% with the assessments starting
the year following the assessment hearing.

rmYOR DEMOS: De we have any letters?

MR. ANDRE: We have none.

MAYOR DEMOS: I will now open the hearing.

MRSo JOHN ROSE, 1211 Brooks: I live on Fernwood
and Brooks and I'm wondering what assessments I will be
charged. We have 175 feet by 300 feet running on Fernwood.
I live south. We have 300 feet on Fernwood. Will I
be charged for curb and gutter and pavement.

3
