some yard problems, but some street problems. All of C-2 is in
fairly poor condition from a variety of reasons and some of you
will say IItrucksll and you're partly right. Also part of some
poor drainage.

There's a sheet drainage system across all of the commercial
and industrial land located at Fairview and C and there is con-
siderable drainage coming to C from the south where it goes under
an existing 24 inch pipe and through an open drainage system,
through a small marshy area and into the southern portion of the
lake. There's also sheet drainage that (inaudible) across, I
believe from the Indianhead property next to the PIK terminal
where it intermingles and works its way to the lake.

As you're all probably aware, there has been some internal
collection system at the FIR terminal property, some baffling at
two or three locations to take care of that site (inaudible) that
was designed for that site and that site alone which gives some,
at least partial treatment, before entering the lake. The lake,
in the pasto has flooded County Road C-2. It has also fluctuated
to some degree up and do't'm due to the fact that there is a very
poor outlet facility. Now, there's a 12 inch culvert that runs
westerly from Langdon Lake outward to Wilson Pond where it heads
northweeterly again. We had quality analysis done to the lake by
some specialists in this regard. They found that the lake is in a
eutrophication stage. We talked to the DNR as to what it was
(:i:~audible) in the way of wild life. Some specialists, as part of
the PII< work and (inaudible) essentially as well. IIThey" being the
developer-so But afterwards we have had some more studies. The
basic result of both the wild life studies and the water quality
studies are that the lake is suffering in all three segments. Yeu
can't see it, but there's a sanitary sewer burm that divides the
lake there. All three segments have essentially the same water
quality. I was a little surprised to find that, but that is the
case. There is apparently enough mix between these areas th2l"L:
the water is essentially the same in all three segmentsa They
also found that it is not high in oil, which was feared. It does
not have high oil contenta They found that it is not designed nor
intended to be used as a fish sanctuary. However, most of you know
it's highly desirable as a wild life area and refuge, at least
unofficially. The finding was that the water quality is not what
is the prevailing factor as to whether that wild life is or is not
therea The prevailing thing is the marshy, weedy areas, the woods.
You will find more wild life in this section than right along the
homes. That's to be expected. The prevailing ground cover really

3
