<br />WHEREAS, on September 30, 1996 the City received a report and Master Plan <br />from BRW, the City's traffic engineering consultant, recommending changing the <br />alignment/location of Twin Lakes Parkway to a more southern route. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on October 3, 1996 a property owner meeting was held at City hall to <br />explain the BR W report and discuss the impacts of Twin Lakes Parkway. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on October 9, 1996 the Planning Commission held a public hearing <br />and recommended approval of relocation of Twin Lakes Parkway to a more southern <br />route. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on October 9, 1996 the Planning Commission held a public hearing; <br />Popham Haik requested, on behalf of Penny Thomas Jensen, a timetable for acquisitions <br />and construction. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on October 9, 1996 the City Council received a letter from Ryan <br />Construction supporting the Twin Lakes project. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on October 14, 1996 the City Council held a public hearing, and <br />letters and verbal testimony were accepted. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on October 17, 1996 the City Council received a letter from Liberty <br />Check, which was concerned with congestion and safety, but pleased with access to <br />Langton Lake, landscaping, medians, and sidewalks. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on October 25, 1996 Northco Real Estate asked for further time for <br />decisions on the Project. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on October 28, 1996 the City Council held a public hearing on Twin <br />Lakes Parkway Relocation and a Comprehensive Plan Amendment for the Twin Lakes <br />Area. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on October 28, 1996 the City Council heard a presentation by Penny <br />Thomas Jensen regarding the Cummins Site, 2690 Cleveland Avenue. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on October 28, 1996 the City Council received a letter from Larkin <br />Hoffman (Tim Keane) regarding the Robert Hagen Property and concern about creating a <br />"condenmation blight". <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on October 28, 1996 the City Council received a letter from Hyman <br />Freightways expressing concern with relocation, and design of the proposed Twin Lakes <br />Parkway. <br /> <br />2 <br />
