3

~~YOR DEMOS: Is the petitioner present? Is the
petitioner for the proposal present?

I will open the hearing and ask that each speaker come to
the microphone and give his or her name and the street address
of the property to which they're referring. I'm not interested
in hearing 45 minutes of testimony against it.

MR. ROBERT CASEY, 2330 West County Road B: This petition was
null and void the day after it was submitted, but we couldn't
submit the counter petition and I don't know why we had to go
through this gyration - all these people sitting here until a
quarter to one in the morning. One of the signatures was
requested to be removed the day after it was signed and we were
told that it wouldn't do us a bit of good to submit a petition.

MR. ANDRE: We don't process a petition unless it has a
valid number of signatures.

MR. HONCHELL: We do review the signatures and see if they're
signatures of property owners (inaudible) We do not check to see
if the signatures have been forged.

MR. CASEY: Why, then, if one of those signatures were
removed and we signed a counter petition, why couldn't that
clarify (inaudible).

MR. HONCHELL: Two days later someone else could have
released their name from the counter petition.

~AYOR DEMOS: We had a man here tonight who signed a petition
and then said he wanted his name removed. But I don't see any
point if the petitioners are not present. I have had people
in the area tell me something is inevitable but I don't see
going through 45 minutes of it.

MR. POPOVICH: Let's find out if there's anyone in favor
of it.

MR. WALTER MUND, 2151 Fulham Street: I might say I'm not
representing Midland Hills, but myself, and I feel like most of
the people in the neighborhood, they don't want to pay that
$685, but I have that water on Fulham (inaudible) I built my
house in 1950 and we had no water standing until about 10 years
ago when I think the State Highway Department must have changed
and road and I have water all the time in this corner. I went
to the engineers here and they sent me to the County and they
sent me to the State and I ended up back home. If something
can be done with those corners, maybe we don't need a storm
sewer.

MR. LUDGER PRATT, 2131 Fu1ham: All they have to do is
reduce the elevation of the road in front of my place. I got
my building permit from Rose Township and I've been living at
that place ever since. I retired in January, 1963 and I'm
trying to maintain that home, but I can't take care of any
