Extract of Minutes of Meeting
of City Council
City of Roseville
Ramsey County, Minnesota

November 17, 1980

Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting

of the City Council of the City of Roseville, Minnesota, was

held in the City Hall in said City on Monday, November 17, 1980,

at 7:00 o'clock p. m.

The following members were present: Mayor Demos and

Councilmen Curley, Kehr and Franke: and the following were

absent: One Vacancy.

Also present were James F. Andre, City Manager: Robert Bell,

City Attorney: Charles Honchell, City Public Works Director~ and

Peter S. Popovich, City Bond Consultant.

MAYOR DEMOS: This hearing is for Improvement SS-W-ST-P-80-24,
Dellwood Street from Josephine Road south to dead-end, sanitary
sewer services, watermain and services, storm sewer, paving, curb
and gutter.

MR. ANDRE: We have the certificate of mailing and affidavit
of publication for this project on file.

MR. HONCHELL: Once again we have project that was a result
of a petition. In this case it's a petition from the people
that have property abutting the north half of Dellwood Street.
Most of you aren't going to be familiar with Dellwood because
right now that's mostly an open field. That's mostly undeveloped
property, with the exception of a single home in the northwest
corner. The southern half of Dellwood Street is abutting on
both sides by property opened by the City of Roseville for park
purposes.

There are no plans in the making to extend that street all
the way through to serve the park. In fact, the current plans
are to keep that park in a pretty natural condition. They do
not wish to have the road extending through. There are a couple
of lots here on Hamline. The reason they are there is that while
these properties are involved in the roadway, in order to serve
that roadway it's necessary again to build some storm drainage.
These lots drain to the rear and up to where that drainage
would collect the water, and that's why they are in the hearing.
