<br />Regular meeting of the City Council - February 24, 1986

<br />The City Council met on the above date with the
<br />following members present: Cushman, Matson, Kehr,
<br />Johnson, and Demos. Members absent: None.
<br />
<br />Kehr moved, Cushman seconded, that the minutes of the
<br />regular meeting of February 10, 1986 be approved.
<br />Roll Call, Ayes: Cushman, Matson, Kehr, and Demos.
<br />Abstain: Johnson, because he was absent from the
<br />February 10 meeting. Nays: None.
<br />
<br />Cushman moved, Johnson seconded, that a proclamation
<br />proclaiming the week of March 2-9, 1986 as Volunteers
<br />of America Week be adopted. Roll Call, Ayes: Cushman,
<br />Matson, Kehr, Johnson, and Demos. Nays: None.

<br />Kehr moved, Johnson seconded, that Resolution
<br />7866, ordering improvement ST-85-14, and
<br />authorizing the preparation of plans be adopted.
<br />Roll Call, Ayes: Cushman, Matson, Johnson,
<br />Kehr, and Demos. Nays: None.
<br />
<br />Kehr moved, Matson seconded, that Resolution
<br />7867, ordering improvement P-85-31, and
<br />authorizing the preparation of plans be adopted;
<br />and that staff be directed to contact the City
<br />of Falcon Heights to convey the City's desire
<br />that right turn lanes be added to both north
<br />and south bound Cleveland Avenue at Roselawn.
<br />
<br />Johnson moved that project P-85-32 be denied.
<br />The motion failed for lack of a second.
<br />
<br />Kehr moved, Matson seconded, that Resolution
<br />7868, ordering improvement P-85-32, and
<br />authorizing the preparation of plans be adopted.
<br />Roll Call, Ayes: Cushman, Matson, Kehr, and
<br />Demos. Nays: Johnson.

<br />Kehr moved, Matson seconded, that Resolution
<br />7869, ordering improvement M-86-06a, and
<br />authorizing the staff to have the work done by
<br />the private utility companies be adopted.
<br />Roll Call, Ayes: Cushman, Matson, Johnson,
<br />Kehr, and Demos. Nays: None.

<br />Matson moved, Cushman seconded, that Robert King
<br />be appointed to fill the unexpired term on the
<br />Human Rights Commission, which expires 3-31-88,
<br />and that John Goedeke be appointed to fill the
<br />unexpired term on the Planning Commission, which
<br />expires on 3-31-89. Roll Call, Ayes: Cushman,
<br />Matson, Johnson, Kehr, and Demos. Nays: None.
