<br />HEARINGS
<br />Maschka moved, Johnson seconded, that Advanced Design,
<br />Inc. request for final plat approval at 2284 Old High-
<br />way 8 be continued to the regular Council meeting of
<br />July 23, 1990. Roll Call, Ayes: Cushman, Johnson,
<br />Maschka, and Thomas. Nays: None.
<br />
<br />Thomas moved, Maschka seconded, that Khan's Limited
<br />Partnership application for On Sale and special Sunday
<br />Liquor Licenses at 2720 Snelling Avenue be approved
<br />subject to the applicant providing a Liquor Liability
<br />Insurance certificate, proof of Workers' Compensation
<br />Insurance, and payment of the remainder of the license
<br />fee. Roll Call, Ayes: Cushman, Johnson, Maschka, and
<br />Thomas. Nays: None.
<br />
<br />ORGANIZATIONAL BUSINESS
<br />Johnson moved, Maschka seconded, that letters of
<br />appreciation be sent to the members of the 1990 Rose-
<br />fest Parade Committee. Roll Call, Ayes: Cushman,
<br />Johnson, Maschka, and Thomas. Nays: None.

<br />Maschka moved, Johnson seconded, that an expression
<br />of sympathy be sent to the City of Maplewood and the
<br />family of Mayor Norman Anderson. Roll Call, Ayes:

<br />Johnson moved, Maschka seconded, that the Council
<br />extends a hearty thanks to the city staff for a grand
<br />Rosefest celebration. Roll Call, Ayes: Cushman,

<br />Cushman moved, Maschka seconded, that the speedskaters
<br />from the North Suburban Area be commended for their
<br />outstanding performances in the Olympic Festival. Roll

<br />be directed to prepare an ordinance amendment providing
<br />that all dogs currently licensed for the life of the
<br />dog shall be exempt from the two year licensing
<br />requirement. Roll Call, Ayes: Johnson, Maschka, and
<br />Thomas. Nays: Cushman.

<br />REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
<br />Johnson moved, Maschka seconded, that Adel Alwan's
<br />request for two additional amusement devices and two
<br />pool tables at 2180 North Dale be continued to the
<br />regular City Council meeting of October 8, 1990.
