Nays: <br /> <br />Johnson, Cushman, Maschka, Thomas, <br />None. <br /> <br />C-4 Thomas moved, Cushman seconded that Dominium Groups DOMINIUM <br />request for Special Use Permit at 2231 Rice street be GROUP <br />approved with the following conditions: <br /> <br />1. That the project be developed according to plans <br />presented to the Planning commission on June 6, 1990. <br /> <br />2. That the staff approve the final landscape plan that <br />gives special attention to saving valuable existing <br />trees on the site and which should be subject to <br />neighborhood review. <br /> <br />3. That the staff approve final grading, drainage, <br />erosion control, utility and lighting plans. <br /> <br />4. That color renderings and full exterior details be <br />presented to the City Council. <br /> <br />5. That the applicant make a cash contribution to the <br />City's non-motorized pathway fund for an amount to <br />be set by the Staff according to City policy. <br /> <br />6. That there be no access from the project to Marion <br />street. <br /> <br />1. That the building design will be lowered approximately <br />two feet subject to final staff approval. <br /> <br />8. That the landscaping will be enhanced on the north and <br />west side to reduce the visual impact on the adjacent <br />homes. This new landscape plan should be developed in <br />collaboration with adjacent neighbors and approved by <br />City Staff. <br /> <br />9. That a more decorative shingle be installed in place of <br />asphalt shingles and approved by City Staff. <br /> <br />10. That the applicant will not construct the access to <br />Minnesota until traffic volumes and/or safety issues <br />verify the need to provide a second access to the <br />project. <br /> <br />11. That the applicant shall remove the house on Minnesota <br />Avenue during the construction of the apartment <br />building and provide landscaping or fence screening <br />in collaboration with the adjacent neighbors and <br />City Staff. <br /> <br />Johnson moved, Cushman seconded that the motion be <br />amended by deleting Condition No. 10. Roll Call, Ayes: <br />Johnson, Cushman, and Rog. Nays: Maschka and Thomas. <br />(Amendment passes). <br />
