<br />Roseville City Council Minutes <br />September 24, 1990 <br /> <br />F-5 <br /> <br />F-6 <br /> <br />F-7 <br /> <br />Page 6 <br /> <br />Johnson moved, Cushman seconded, that the Roseville <br />Youth Hockey Association's application to conduct a <br />raffle on December 3, 1990, at the Roseville VFW, <br />1145 Woodhill Drive, without obtaining a state <br />gambling license, be approved. Roll Call, Ayes: John- <br />son, Cushman, Maschka, Thomas, and Rog. Nays: None. <br /> <br />YOUTH HOCKEY <br />ASSOCIATION <br /> <br />Johnson moved, Maschka seconded, that the North Subur- <br />ban Youth Association's application for a one day, off <br />site gambling permit at Central Park in Roseville, <br />Minnesota, on October 27, 1990, be approved. Roll <br />Call, Ayes: Johnson, Cushman, Maschka, Thomas, and <br />Rog. Nays: None. <br /> <br />NORTH SUBURBAN <br />YOUTH ASSOCIA- <br />TION <br /> <br />Thomas moved, Johnson seconded, that the VFW's request <br />to spend gambling funds for the construction of the <br />additional parking and rest room facilities be <br />approved subject to: <br /> <br />VFW <br /> <br />1. Meeting the insurance requirement. <br /> <br />2. The use of the facility will not be restricted and <br />may be used by the general public without charge. <br /> <br />3. There are no unwritten "quid pro quo" or promises <br />of future benefit to either the City or the <br />donating group. <br /> <br />4. The City incurs no future maintenance or recon- <br />struction cost. <br /> <br />5. The City reserves the right to withdraw from the <br />joint use at any time for any reason without <br />damage. <br /> <br />6. The donating party cannot withdraw from the joint <br />use unless the City agrees, and the funds used to <br />construct the facility will be reimbursed to the <br />gambling account in a pro rata amount based on the <br />remaining useful life of the facility. <br /> <br />Roll Call, Ayes: <br />and Rog. Nays: <br /> <br />Johnson, Cushman, Maschka, Thomas, <br />None. <br /> <br />F-8 Cushman moved, Johnson seconded, that the City of CITY OF <br />Roseville's request for variances at 1140 Woodhill ROSEVILLE <br />Drive be approved with the condition that the portion <br />of the addition proposed to be painted block, be <br />brick. Roll Call, Ayes: Johnson, Cushman, Maschka, <br />Thomas, and Rog. Nays: None. <br />
