<br />REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
<br />Cushman moved, Thomas seconded, that participation by
<br />the City in School District 623's study of facility
<br />needs in an amount of 10 percent of the consultant's
<br />contract, not to exceed $6,000, to be funded from the
<br />Contingency Account, be approved. Roll Call, Ayes:
<br />Johnson, Cushman, Thomas, and Maschka. Nays: Rog.

<br />Thomas moved, Cushman seconded, that the city Manager
<br />be authorized to negotiate a proposed contract exten-
<br />sion with Super Cycle, Inc. for the curbside collec-
<br />tion of recyclables effective January 1, 1991, to
<br />include the pickup of plastics. Roll Call, Ayes:
<br />Johnson, Cushman, Thomas, Maschka, and Rog. Nays:
<br />None.

<br />Cushman moved, Maschka seconded, that the proposal of
<br />Eide, Helmeke & Co. to be the City's outside auditor
<br />for the fiscal years of 1990, 1991, and 1992 be
<br />approved. Roll Call, Ayes: Johnson, Cushman, Thomas,
<br />Maschka, and Rog. Nays: None.

<br />Cushman moved, Johnson seconded, that a resolution to
<br />rename county Road C-2, west of Lexington Avenue, be
<br />denied. Roll Call, Ayes: Johnson, Cushman, Thomas,
<br />Maschka, and Rog. Nays: None.

<br />Cushman moved, Maschka seconded, that the bid for the
<br />purchase of one new 1990 Model Heavy Duty Rescue Fire
<br />Truck be awarded to Minnesota Conway Fire & Safety in
<br />the low alternate bid of $244,960 minus deductions of
<br />$28,663 set forth in a letter dated October 22, 1990,
<br />for a total bid of $216,297. The purchase shall be
<br />funded $190,000 from the Equipment Replacement Fund,
<br />$12,000 in interest earnings, and $14,297 from the
<br />sale of fire units being replaced. Roll Call, Ayes:
<br />Johnson, Cushman, Thomas, Maschka, and Rog. Nays: None.

<br />Thomas moved, Maschka seconded, that the city Council
<br />appoint Jensen, Hicken, Gedde & Scott, P.A., 300 Anoka
<br />Office Center, 2150 Third Avenue, Anoka, MN 55303, to
<br />be substituted for Peterson, Bell, Converse & Jensen
<br />in the civil action now pending against A+ Industries;
<br />and further approves the appointment of those
<br />attorneys to proceed with the criminal complaints now
<br />pending for the violation by A+ of Roseville's noise,
<br />vibration, and zoning ordinances. Roll Call, Ayes:
<br />Johnson, Cushman, Thomas, Maschka, and Rog. Nays:
<br />None.
