<br />Cushman moved, Johnson seconded, that Resolution 8625,
<br />approving project No. 89-16, Hamline avenue improve-
<br />ments from Larpenteur Avenue to County Road B, be
<br />adopted. Roll Call, Ayes: Johnson, Cushman, Maschka,
<br />and Rog. Nays: Thomas.

<br />ORGANIZATIONAL BUSINESS
<br />Thomas moved, Cushman seconded, that the December 24,
<br />1990 regular Council meeting be canceled because it is
<br />Christmas Eve, and rescheduling the work session of
<br />Monday, January 21, to Tuesday, January 22, 1991,
<br />because it is the Martin Luther King Holiday. Roll
<br />Call, Ayes: Johnson, Cushman, Thomas, Maschka, and
<br />Rog. Nays: None.

<br />Johnson moved, Maschka seconded, that a special
<br />Council meeting be established for Thursday, November
<br />15, 1990, at 5:00 p.m., in the City Hall for the pur-
<br />pose of considering applications for Class A gambling
<br />premises permits from the Roseville Central Park
<br />Foundation, Roseville Youth Hockey Association, and
<br />Midway Speedskating Association. Roll Call, Ayes:
<br />Johnson, Cushman, Thomas, Maschka, and Rog. Nays:
<br />None.

<br />Thomas moved, Maschka seconded, that the jOb descrip-
<br />tions for the City Council and Volunteer Commissions
<br />be approved. Roll Call, Ayes: Johnson, Cushman,
<br />Thomas, Maschka, and Rog. Nays: None.

<br />Thomas moved, Johnson seconded, that Mr. Gerald
<br />Sande be recommended to the Ramsey County Board of
<br />Commissioners for reappointment to the Rice Creek
<br />Watershed District Board of Managers. Roll Call,
<br />Ayes: Johnson, Cushman, Thomas, Maschka, and Rog.
<br />Nays: None.

<br />Maschka moved, Johnson seconded, that an amendment to
<br />the City Manager's contract, increasing base salary by
<br />4 percent and increasing the amount paid to the Inter-
<br />national City Management Association--Retirement
<br />corporation by 1 percent, retroactive to the City
<br />Manager's anniversary date, and reimbursement of up to
<br />$1,500 annually for educational expenses be approved.
<br />Roll Call, Ayes: Johnson, Cushman, Thomas, Maschka,
<br />and Rog. Nays: None.

<br />Thomas moved, Cushman seconded, that the transfer,
<br />from the General Fund Contingency Account to the Fire
<br />Department Personnel Account, of an amount not to
<br />exceed $4,750 for full physicals for eleven Fire
<br />Department hazardous material volunteers be approved.
<br />Roll Call, Ayes: Johnson, Cushman, Thomas, Maschka,
<br />and Rog. Nays: None.
