<br />REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
<br />P. Johnson moved, Goedeke seconded that Resolution
<br />9093, declaring costs for 1993 projects to be assessed
<br />and ordering preparation of assessment rolls for
<br />various projects, be adopted. Roll Call, Ayes: Wiski,
<br />Mastel, P. Johnson, Goedeke, and V. Johnson. Nays:
<br />None.

<br />P. Johnson moved, wiski seconded, that the award of
<br />bid for the Arthur street Project, P-SS-W-ST-94-06i
<br />and Twin Lakes Regional storm Water Pond, ST-94-09, be
<br />continued to the regular City Council meeting of
<br />Monday, September 12, 1994. Roll Call, Ayes: Wiski,
<br />Mastel, P. Johnson, Goedeke, and V. Johnson. Nays:
<br />None.

<br />Goedeke moved, P. Johnson seconded, that the filing of
<br />the Proposed 1995 Annual Budget for consideration at
<br />the regular City Council meeting of August 22, 1994,

<br />E. COMMUNICATIONS, RECOGNITIONS, AND PUBLIC COMMENTS
<br />E-1 Gretchen Blank, Recreation Superintendent of the City MRPA AWARD
<br />of Richfield and Chair of the Minnesota Recreation and
<br />Park Association (MRPA) Awards Committee, presented
<br />the city of Roseville with the 1994 MRPA Award of
<br />Excellence for the John Rose Minnesota OVAL.

<br />Ken Vraa of Eagan, President-elect of the Minnesota
<br />Recreation and Park Association, presented the city of
<br />Roseville with a framed poster of the "Benefits of
<br />Parks & Recreation". Don Anderson, Chair of the Rose-
<br />ville Parks and Recreation Department, was also
<br />present.
<br />
<br />Fire Chief Joel Hewitt, on behalf of the Roseville
<br />Fire Department, presented a Letter of Commendation to
<br />Erin Jenson and her mother for their quick action on
<br />April 16, 1994, in spotting and reporting a garage
<br />fire at 2471 Hamline Avenue.
<br />
<br />Council Member Barb Mastel gave an update on the
<br />Roseville Boys 14 and Under Fast pitch Softball Team.
<br />They recently competed in the national tournament in
<br />Rockford, Illinois, and placed fourth in the nation.
<br />She congratulated Coach Jim Warner and the team.
