Roseville city Council Minutes
May 8, 1995

F-2

F-3

G.
G-l

Dick Houck, 1133 Roselawn, read a statement to the
city Council regarding a "Petition to place
construction, acquisition, and/or disposal of major
public facilities on a ballot for public approval",
and gave each Council Member a copy of the petition
signed by 1,200 residents.

Al Sands, 2612 North Aldine, agreed with Mr. Houck's
petition and also gave his thoughts on selling the
Roseville Activity Center.

HEARINGS
P. Johnson moved, Goedeke seconded, that Pacific
Mutual Door Company's request for variance to the
zoning ordinance to construct an addition to their
facility at 2645 and 2655 N. Fairview Avenue be
approved with the following conditions:

1. That there be an increase to allow for 44 percent
of the site to be covered with building rather
than the Code requirement of 30 percent.

2. That there be a 30 foot variance to the parking
lot setback requirements of 40 feet, thereby
allowing the existing parking to remain 10 feet
from the right-of-way.

3. That there be a variance to the building design
standards to allow for color compatible sedimented
(granular) paint to cover the shape of the concrete
blocks; with new brick pilasters, and architectural
details along the north existing warehouse wall to
be used in lieu of all new brick or other
complimentary materials.

4. That staff work with Pacific Mutual Door and the
neighbors regarding truck headlights, truck safety
on the parking lot, and truck idling in non work
hours.

5. That staff review the landscape planting plan to
provide coniferous vegetation within the landscape
pIan.

6. That Pacific Mutual Door must work with the
neighbors to reduce the noise and buzzers, to be
consistent with the city's Noise Code.

These variances are subject to the inclusion of the
Fairview Avenue landscaping and screening wall design
of April 13, 1995, and the following five staff
engineering conditions dated September 9, 1994:

Page 5

DICK HOUCK

AL SANDS

PACIFIC MUTUAL
DOOR
