Acting Mayor <br />The Acting Mayor shall be appointed in Janulry each year. <br /> <br />The first Acting Mayor after adoption of this rule shall be the <br />Council Member with the most time of contiLuous service on <br />the Council. The position shall then be rotated among Council <br />Members based on time of continuous service. If two or more <br />members have identical seniority, the appointment shall be <br />based on alphabetical order by last name. A Council Member <br />may not serve as Acting Mayor twice until at other Council <br />Members have been Acting Mayor. <br /> <br />A Council Member may decline the appointrr .ent for good <br />cause and maintain his/her place in the rotatic n for appointment <br />the following year. <br /> <br />Roll Call, Ayes: Mastel, Maschka, Goedeke, Wiski, and Wa I. Nays: None. <br /> <br />This item was removed from Organizational Business to become B-I0 on the <br />Consent Agenda. <br /> <br />REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS <br />Goedeke moved, Maschka seconded, that the City Manager' Je authorized to <br />sign a grant agreement with the State of Minnesota for a DN R Outdoor <br />Recreation Grant for redevelopment of trails in Acorn Park i 1 the amount of <br />$50,000 with a match of $50,000 to be taken from the 1997 . lark Improvement <br />Program (PIP). Roll Call, Ayes: Mastel, Maschka, Goedeke, Wiski, and Wall. <br />Nays: None. <br /> <br />Maschka moved, Mastel seconded, that Resolution 9273, receiving feasibility <br />reports and scheduling public improvement hearings for the 1996 Pavement <br />Management Program (PMP) for February 12, 1996, at 7:30 p.m. be adopted. <br />Roll Call, Ayes: Mastel, Maschka, Goedeke, Wiski, and Wa I. Nays: None. <br /> <br />The meeting was recessed at 6:30 p.m. for a supper break. <br /> <br />The meeting was reconvened at 7: 15 p.m. <br /> <br />COMMUNICATIONS, RECOGNITIONS, AND PUBLIC COMMENTS <br />Citizen Crime Prevention Awards were presented to Frank ald Susan <br />Deberardini and Denise Flood for their alertness and quick rc :sponse to a <br />burglary occurring in the underground garage at 2250 N. Victoria on <br />December 14, 1995, shortly after midnight.
