<br />Mastel moved, Maschka seconded, that Brenda Boily-Salmanpour, 2795 N.
<br />Asbury Street, be appointed to the Human Rights Commission for an unexpired
<br />term expiring March 31, 1999. Roll Call, Ayes: Mastel, Wiski, Goedeke,
<br />Maschka, and Wall. Nays: None.
<br />
<br />Mastel moved, Maschka seconded, that Janet Gordon, 1222 Rose Vista Court,
<br />No.5, be appointed to the Human Rights Commission for a term expiring on
<br />March 31, 2000. Roll Call, Ayes: Mastel, Wiski, Goedeke, Maschka, and Wall.
<br />Nays: None.

<br />Goedeke moved, Mastel seconded, that the appointment to the Planning
<br />Commission be continued to the regular City Council meeting of Monday,
<br />April 14, 1997, and that the interview for the Planning Commission position
<br />be held during the regular Council work session of April 1, 1997. Roll Call,
<br />Ayes: Mastel, Wiski, Goedeke, Maschka, and Wall. Nays: None.

<br />E-2 Goedeke moved, Mastel seconded, that the creation of a Housing Program COMMUNITY
<br />Coordinator's position, filling the position from existing staff, be approved. Roll DEVELOP-
<br />Call, Ayes: Mastel, Wiski, Goedeke, Maschka, and Wall. Nays: None. MENT DEPT.

<br />Goedeke moved, Maschka seconded, that the creation of a new position,
<br />Building Codes and Permits Coordinator, be approved, amending the 1997
<br />Budget to allow additional permit and other revenues to be used to support the
<br />new position. Roll Call, Ayes: Mastel, Wiski, Goedeke, Maschka, and Wall.
<br />Nays: None.

<br />Goedeke moved, Wiski seconded, that the City Manager and staff be directed
<br />to complete further evaluation of the Electrical Inspection Contract, with a
<br />recommendation to be presented to Council in November, 1997. Roll Call,
<br />Ayes: Mastel, Wiski, Goedeke, Maschka, and Wall. Nays: None.

<br />Goedeke moved, Wiski seconded, that creation of an Interdepartmental
<br />Neighborhood Codes Administration and Compliance Center by the City
<br />Manager and staff, composed of existing staff from many City departments, be
<br />approved. Roll Call, Ayes: Mastel, Wiski, Goedeke, Maschka, and Wall. Nays:
<br />None.

<br />Goedeke moved, Maschka seconded, that by November, 1997 staff be directed to
<br />report on benchmarks and goals for 1998 for each of the changes listed above.
