<br />G-2 Bob Bierscheid, Parks and Recreation Director, introduced Car Sannes from MIDWAY
<br />the Midway Speedskating Club, who presented the City with a ~rant of$35,000 SPEED SKATING
<br />from the Midway Speedskating Club for the purpose ofprovidi 19 speedskating CLUB
<br />training opportunities at the John Rose Minnesota OVAL. Cou ncil thanked the
<br />Midway Speedskating Club for their significant contributions t( I the City of
<br />Roseville.

<br />Wiski moved, Mastel seconded, that Resolution 9510, Frederic ~ Chute's
<br />request for a variance to reduce the side yard setback to four fel:t and the rear
<br />yard setback to three feet for the purpose of constructing an att,ched two car
<br />garage at 2416 Lexington Avenue North, be adopted based on t he findings
<br />outlined in Section 3.1 of a report to the City Council dated Jan uary 12, 1998.

<br />Wiski moved, Maschka seconded, that Mendota Homes, Inc. rE quest for a
<br />Concept Plan for Phase 1 of a Residential Planned Unit Develo pment at the
<br />intersection of County Road C-2 and State Highway be approv,:d based on
<br />the findings outlined in Section 3.1 of a report to the City Cou lcil dated
<br />January 12, 1998, and the proposed development of the site. R<n Call, Ayes:

<br />Wiski moved, Goedeke seconded, that Resolution 9511, appro' 'ing Patricia
<br />Halverson (NIPS, Inc.) request for a Comprehensive Plan ameldment to
<br />change the designation of the west .54 acre of the parcellocatell at 2075
<br />Snelling Avenue North from Business to High Density Residertial, subject
<br />to Metropolitan Council review and comment, be adopted. Ro I Call, Ayes:
<br />Mastel, Maschka, Goedeke, Wiski, and Wall. Nays: None.

<br />Wi ski moved, Goedeke seconded, that Council reaffirm the mi lor subdivision
<br />of the property at 2075 Snelling Avenue North, approved by th;: City Council
<br />on September 8, 1997, with the following provisions:
<br />
<br />1. A 20 foot wide private utility easement for water service ml st be dedicated
<br />in the appropriate location within the .54 acre parcel being t 'ansferred.
<br />
<br />2. A 20 foot wide access easement for public safety protection must be
<br />dedicated through the McDonald's parking lot in a location lpproved by the
<br />City.
