<br />D-1 Wall moved, Goedeke seconded, that Mark Ness' request for a minor variance MARK NESS
<br />to reduce the side yard setback of a driveway/parking area to zero feet, for the
<br />purpose of widening a driveway at 1433 Skillman Avenue West, be continued
<br />to the regular City Council meeting of Monday, June 22, 1998. Roll Call, Ayes:

<br />Mastel moved, Wiski seconded, that the City Manager and Chief of Police
<br />submit to the U.S. Department of Justice Office of Community Oriented
<br />Policing Services a COPS MORE grant application, with the understanding
<br />that aspects of the grant may be declined by the Council. Roll Call, Ayes:
<br />Goedeke, Wiski, Mastel, Maschka, and Wall. Nays: None.

<br />Council moved to Item G, RECOGNITIONS, at this time and moved Items
<br />F-1 through F-3 to become K-1 through K-3 respectively, under K. Reports
<br />and Recommendations (Continued, if necessary).

<br />RECOGNITIONS
<br />Police Chief Paul Wood recognized, by name, the following individuals who
<br />received Certificates of Honor for their outstanding work and contributions to
<br />the Police Department and City of Roseville for the year 1997 and early 1998:

<br />Mayor Wall stated he presented Dr. Carol Ericson, who is retiring as
<br />Superintendent of School District 623, with a porcelain rose on behalf of the
<br />City of Roseville at a farewell reception that was held for her on June 1, 1998.

<br />HEARINGS
<br />Maschka moved, Mastel seconded, that Hess Kline's request for a minor
<br />subdivision at County Road C-2 and Long Lake Road be continued, at the
<br />request ofMr. Kline, to the regular City Council meeting of Monday, June 22,
<br />1998. Roll Call, Ayes: Goedeke, Wiski, Mastel, Maschka, and Wall. Nays:
<br />None.
