<br />RECOGNITIONS
<br />Rita Mills, Co-Chair of the Roseville Sister City Committee, talked about the
<br />Roseville/Shinmachi Home Stay Program with Roseville's Sister City of
<br />Shinmachi, Japan and introduced Peter Zoller from Minneapolis, who teaches
<br />English at Shinmachi Middle School in Japan. Mr. Zoller then introduced the
<br />two teachers and ten students from Shinmachi, Japan to the City Council.
<br />They are visiting Roseville for ten days.
<br />
<br />The meeting was recessed for a 10 minute break at this time.

<br />H. HEARINGS
<br />H-l Maschka moved, Goedeke seconded, that Resolution 9572, ordering Project
<br />UL-98-10, ornamental street lights for Centre Pointe Drive, be adopted, and
<br />directing the improvement to be installed. Roll Call, Ayes: Wiski, Mastel,
<br />Maschka, Goedeke, and Wall. Nays: None.

<br />H-2 Maschka moved, Goedeke seconded, that Resolution 9573, approving the
<br />issuance of bonds by the City of Minneapolis to finance a project on behalf
<br />of Children's Health Care under the Minnesota Statutes, Section 469.152 to
<br />469.165, be adopted. Roll Call, Ayes: Wiski, Mastel, Maschka, Goedeke,
<br />and Wall. Nays: None.

<br />Maschka moved, Goedeke seconded, that the Intergovernmental Agreement
<br />providing for the issuance of Health Care Revenue Bonds on behalf of
<br />Children's Health Care be approved, and authorizing the Mayor and City
<br />Manager to sign the agreement upon the recommendation of the City's
<br />Bond Counsel. Roll Call, Ayes: Wiski, Mastel, Maschka, Goedeke, and Wall.

<br />Goedeke moved, Maschka seconded, that Ordinance 1207, amending Chapter
<br />702 of the City Code by adding motorboat restrictions on Lake Josephine,
<br />subject to approval by the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources and the
<br />City of Arden Hills, be adopted. Roll Call, Ayes: Wiski, Mastel, Maschka,
<br />Goedeke, and Wall. Nays: None.

<br />Goedeke moved, Maschka seconded, that the Joint Powers Agreement with the
<br />City of Arden Hills regarding Lake Josephine water surface use be approved
<br />subject to approval by the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources and the
<br />City of Arden Hills. Roll Call, Ayes: Wiski, Mastel, Maschka, Goedeke, and
<br />Wall. Nays: None.
