<br />\'\ <br />C/RJ)/N/JI'IC£ ~. /00. t;,,/!'ÞIë/7IIaý 27 # /91-3 {)01. <br />?7/n?vl'e- 6'Dk, þez.,e- "'i 3' I , <br />I <br />AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR ALL !vf.ATTERS CONCERNING, REGULATING OR AFFECT':" <br />ING THE CONSTRUCTION, ALTERATION, REGULATION, REPAIR AND INSPECTION OF <br />ALL BUILDINGS, WALKS, STRUCTURES ERECTED OR TO BE ERECTED IN THE VILLAGE <br />OF R08EVILLE FOR THE PROTECTION OF PROPERTY AGAINST FIRE, AND FOR THE <br />PURPOSE OF SECURING HEALTHFUL, SAFE AND SANITARY ENVIRONMENT FOR THE <br />OCCUPANTS OF BUILDINGS USED FOR HUMAN HABITATION OR OTHERWISE, TO PRO- <br />HIBIT THE UNLAWFUL USE OR OCCUPANCY OF ALL BUILDINGS, WALLS, OR STRUC- <br />TURES AND PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF. <br /> <br />The Village Council of Roseville do ordain as follows: <br /> <br />Section 1-1. The following provisions shall constitute and be known <br />as the "Building Code": <br /> <br />1-2. The council shall appoint a building inspector, hereinafter re- <br />ferred to as inspector. <br /> <br />1-3. The inspector shall be given the authority and the responsibility <br />to enforce all of the provisions of this code under the direction of <br />the council. <br /> <br />1-4. Any person, or persons, who shall interfere with the inspector in <br />the execution of his duties as defined by this code, shall upon conviction <br />thereof be subject to the penalties provided herein. <br /> <br />1-5. The inspector is hereby given the authority to call upon the èon- <br />stable for assistance in enforcing any of th~ provisions of this code. <br /> <br />1-6. The council shall, whenever it becomes necessary through the <br />various types of construction to be encountered, employ such technical <br />or expert consultants as to insure proper construction and public safety. <br /> <br />SECTION 2 <br /> <br />ADMINISTRATION <br /> <br />2-1. Before proceeding with the 'construction, enlargement, alteration, <br />repair or removal of any building or structure, the owner or his 'agent <br />shall first obtain a permit for such purpose from the building inspector <br />and shall pay the 'fees described herein. <br /> <br />2-2. Applications for permits shall be made in writing upon printed <br />blanks or forms furnished by the inspector for such purpose. <br /> <br />2-3. Application for permit shall be accompanied by two copies of the <br />plans and specifications clearly illustrating and specifying the work <br />to be done, and such plans shall be so complete as to fully illustrAte <br />the character of the proposed work. <br />
