If <br /> <br />The Village Council of Roeeville do ordain as follows: <br /> <br />SECTION 1 <br /> <br />) <br /> <br />It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to keep <br />or ouerate a tavern within the limits of the Village of Roseville with- <br />out first having obtainedal1cense so to do as hereinafter provided. <br /> <br />SECTION 2 <br /> <br />For the purpose of this ordinance, every ulace used, maintained, <br />advertised or held out to be a place where non-intoxicating liquor is <br />sold for consumption on or off such premises and in addition to such <br />sale of non-intoxicating liquor also provides dancing, singing or vaude- <br />ville performances or entertainment for its guests or provides for them <br />the privilege of dancing, shall be deemed a tavern. . The words "non- <br />intoxicating liquor" as used in this ordinance shall mean, beer, ale, <br />porter, wine or any other liquid potable as a beverage which contains <br />more than one-half of one percent of alcohol by volume and less than <br />3.2% of alcohol by weight. <br /> <br />SECTION 3 <br /> <br />Any person desiring a license to operate a tavern shall make his <br />application in writing to the Village Council by filing said applica- <br />tion with the Village Clerk. The following information shall be set <br />forth in the application: <br /> <br />1. The name and place of residence of the applicant. <br /> <br />2. The exact location of the premises upon which the <br />applicant proposes to operate a tavern. <br /> <br />3. Whether the applicant has ever been engaged in a <br />similar business and, if so, the location thereof <br />and the date when so enge~ed. <br /> <br />4. Whether the applicant proposes to afford the <br />privilege of dancing to his guests or whether <br />vaudeville entertainment will be afforded or <br />whether both will be provided. In case the <br />applicant proposes to afford the public the <br />privilege of dancing, the application whall set <br />forth the amount of floor space available and <br />which the applicant proposes to maintain for <br />dancing purposes. <br /> <br />SECTION 4- <br /> <br />The applicant shall deposit with the Village Clerk at the time <br />of the filing of his application, the sum of $100.00 which sum i8 <br />
