<br />Ol"chnd"ce-- 110: /07 <br />ORDINANCE PROHIBITING OPERATION OF MOVING PICTURE THEATRES WITHOUT <br />A LICENSE THEREFOR; ESTABLISHING REGULATIONS FOR THE GRANTING OF <br />SUCH LICENSE AND SETTING LICENSE FEES THEREFOR. <br />/l~"o/~ July t /A 1'1"/~ m"/~ ~e>~ ~ge # /6. . <br />The Village Council of Roseville do ordain as follows: <br /> <br />033 <br /> <br />SECTION 1 <br /> <br />It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to ex- <br />hibit or display in any theatre in the Village of Roseville any moving <br />pictures, film pictures or other pictures without first having obtained <br />a license to do so. as hereinafter provided. <br /> <br />SECTION 2 <br /> <br />... For the purpose of this ordinance a theatre is defined as any <br />place, either within a building or in the open air, where pictures <br />are displayed and an admission charge is made therefor. <br /> <br />SECTION 3 <br /> <br />Any person desiring a license to operate a theatre for said pur- <br />poee shall make his application in writing to the Village Council by <br />filing said application with the Village Clerk and the following in- <br />formation shall be set forth in the application: <br /> <br />3-a. Name and place of residence of applicant. <br /> <br />3-b. Exact location and dimensions of the pre mises upon which <br />applicant propoees to operate a theatre. <br /> <br />3-c. The seating capacity of an indoor theatre or the car capacity <br />of an outdoor theatre and the parking facilities available <br />for patrons of an indoor theatre. <br /> <br />SECTION 4 <br /> <br />The license fee for indoor theatres shall be $100.00 if the seat- <br />ing capacity of the theatre is 750 or less; $150.00 if the seating <br />capacity is over 750 but not over 1,000; $200.00 if the seating capacity <br />is over 1,000 but not over 1,500; $300.00 if the seating capacity is <br />over 1,500. The license fee for outdoor theatres shall be $200.00 if <br />the capacity is 500 cars or less; $300.00 if the capacity is over 500 <br />cars but not over 1,000, cars, and $400.00 if the capacity is over 1,000 <br />cars. The applicant shall pay the license fee at the time of making <br />his application ana the Village Clerk shall deliver to such applicant <br />duplicate receipts containing a statement of the purpose for which such <br />deposit is made and one of said receipts shall be attached to and filed <br />with said application. <br />
